For Blue on Monday, I would like to show some newly made blue, beaded jewellery. First is this stretch-bracelet that I made from large flat round lampwork glass beads that I took from a necklace that I hade done several years ago.
I wasn't happy with the design idea I had back them and just cut it apart and used the large beads to make the bracelet.

I had so much fun making the first bracelet that I went on to make a second stretch-bracelet out of other kinds of blue glass beads. These are silver-lined and seem to almost glow .

And while I'm at it, I may as well make a matching necklace too. Oh dear. I don't have enough oval beads to make a good length. I want this necklace to be a matinee or princess length and not a choker. No problem! I just added some round beads to increase the length.

That was fun. I wonder if I can do something with these very, very large lampwork beads that l have had laying around for a long time. Why not make a short necklace with them?

And while I'm at it, here's a bracelet with the same small glass Czech beads. Too bad I don't have enough of the big lampwork beads for a bracelet. Sometimes you have to make the bracelet simpler. Sometimes it's the other way around. (The cat's eye glass bead is from China.)

Thank you for visiting my jewellery studio for Blue on Monday.
Hope you all have a happy week!
Best wishes,
Anna
